2 of a kind the Rambler Royce

Can I ask you a question about your car?  

“Sure”  

What is it?  

Laughs “It’s a Rambler Royce one of two made and registered in 1976”  Rambler asked Rolls Royce if they could use some of their design and Rolls Royce said only if their name was on the car, therefore the Rambler Royce.

Can you tell me a little about the car?

Originally it was owned by Bruce Small who bought it in Malvern but then retired and moved to the Gold Coast and became Mayor.  He’s the guy who introduced the Meter Maids and he used to drive them around the Gold Coast in this with the Meter Maid’s hanging out of the car.

What’s your favourite experience in the car?

A few years back I had it down Inverloch on New Years Eve and I came out at about 1am and there were all these “pretty young girls” hanging around the car.  They saw me and asked if I could take them for a ride around town in it, so we spent some time cruising around with all these girls hanging out the car wishing everybody a Happy New Year, even the Police who were driving past.  That was great.
