“It was my Dad’s Car and I restored it and surprised him. He’s in his 90’s now.”  I pick him up in it sometimes and take him for a ride, you can see how happy he is when he see’s it and is out in it.  Dad was a shoemaker and when he bought this car was when his business was successful, back then it was a symbol that you had made it.

What is one of your favourite memories in the car?

Dad would tell me the night before that I had to get up early we were going fishing in the morning.  Mum would make some scones and Dad would wake me early, we would grab the scones, put them on the back seat and we would go fishing.  He would drive us to Lake Eppaloch, he knew a way around the back and he would drive there in the Chev and we would fish and eat Mums scones.  “I guess I like this best because I would sit in the front with him, and you know it, was just me and him.”
