Putting the Muscle back into Classic Cars

Adjusting the Handling and Suspension

April 26, 2024

After building the 488 stroker motor for Peter's Pontiac we were discovering some handling and traction issues.  Under acceleration the rear of the car would begin to turn so we added some traction bars to solve this issue.  Another issue we were experiencing under acceleration was that the body would twist so chassis rail connectors were added to stop this.   As the Firebird is not only driven on the track but on the road as well Peter wanted a nice soft ride for on the street but wanted to enhance the handling on the track.  In order to achieve this we added QA1 shockers in the front of the Firebird, these are fully adjustable and allow him to have a nice soft ride on the street or stiffen them up for the track.  The best of both worlds.
