Just like us when we age our parts wear and become less tight and feel a little sloppy so do the parts in your Classic Cars especially steering components. The 60 Chevrolet Impala was no exception to this rule, however unlike us the parts can be removed and reconditioned. We removed the steering box and replaced it with a rebuilt second hand box however our steering issues didn't finish there. We also had to use some donor parts from another steering column in order to repair the existing column in the Impala. Yet when all was said and done the steering was much more pleasant and tight leading to a more accurate and safe driving experience.
